Farmers Market - Petaluma

Tuesday the Farmers Market is in Lucchesi Park, just across the street from the apartments.

Yesterday the weather was perfect for it.

Fresh fruit and vegetables, mushrooms, meats, cheeses... all local products, as well as food trucks, candied nuts, craft items (I saw a lot of masks in the booths), local musicians... It's a fun place to be, and this year the prices seemed pretty reasonable.

Food stamps are doubled when exchanged for tokens and coupons at the information booth, up to $10 in food stamps can be exchanged for double, although you can exchange as much of your SNAP benefits as you'd like at a 1:1 rate above that amount.

On Wednesdays, the Farmers Market in Santa Rosa exchanges up to $20 in SNAP with double tokens, which makes for some great food shopping!  Tokens bought in Santa Rosa (or any of the locations run by this group) can be used in any of the other locations as well..

I picked up some red leaf lettuce, green onions, and celery, as well as visiting an Indian food booth to pick up a pumpkin roti and mango chutney.
