I was wrong about Brave.

I admit it when I'm wrong. I was wrong. I'd expected Brave to be just another Disney Princess movie, one where the girl isn't fulfilled until she finds a husband.

I'd assumed that after Merida's disastrous attempt to change her fate, she'd go home, find her mother was right, and settle down with whatever husband was chosen for her.

I'm not going to go into spoilers, but let's just say that the movie turned out to be a surprising lesson in compromise between tradition and individual needs, cultural change and stability.

After watching Brave I've learned a little something about assuming when it comes to movies... even if it's Disney.
