California Dreamin'

I'm not sure my daughter wants us to come out for her graduation. I'm sure we're not the most fun house guests... but I really do want to see her get her Masters Hood. It's going to be expensive for us to drive out there and back, so I want to make it worthwhile by doing something else... like tide pooling... but the first good tide is a week later.

There's a -1.5 tide at Cabrillo on Friday June 6 at 6:23 am (sunrise is at 5:42, and the parking will be good that early)

...and maybe the Chinese Food Festival will be that week, and I KNOW how they like to go to those sort of things, but hate to take all day on the bus... But there's always the zoos (Maybe a trip down to San Diego is in order?)

But I worry by then I may have overstayed my welcome. On the other hand, they DO want go see the Grand Canyon... I wonder if they'd go for us staying there for the week, then all of us driving to Flagstaff then to ABQ, and then they could fly out of ABQ... then we all get a vacation, and I get to do some tide pooling!

Just thinking out loud....

If you need anything while passing through AZ, give me a holler :) I would highly recommend the stop at the Grand Canyon. It is just starting to get crowded in June.

I get my BSW in early May, and it is hard getting everyone coordinated to get here.
